A Day in the Life...

6:30 a.m. - Up. As in me sitting up in bed wondering how I could justify sleeping in. No justification....so I stand up.

Wake Allie up(not an easy thing to do).

Make Allie's bed.

Together, pick out her outfit-again, not an easy thing to do! Lots of thought put into THE outfit. We settle on black leggings, skirt and black rhinestone/red flower shirt. Whew!

Get Allie into the shower.

Easton wakes up and I decide to throw him in there too. (They are still young enough right?)

Both kids out-dried off and dressed.

Waffles made, buttered, cut and syrup poured. One glass of milk. One glass of orange.

Olivia squawking for someone to get her out of the crib.

Get her a bottle.

Easton wants one more waffle-butter,cut and syrup....

Do Allie's hair-side ponytail with a great big red flower. Pick out black/white shoes.

Have her wash hands, face and brush her teeth.

Meanwhile.....pack her lunch. Love note from home included. :)

Wipe off Easton's face and put Olivia in car-seat.

Everyone in the car and we drive Allie to school, while drilling her on her multiplication(x2's)

Drive back home-get Easton ready for school.

Pick out show and tell.(Not an easy thing to do) I find a cool bouncy ball that lights up-he looks at me in horror and says, "Mom! It's pink! We settle on the LED re-chargeable hand crank flashlight. Whatever...

Shoes on, hair gelled, coat and backpack on, hugs and kisses.....leaves with carpool.

Gulp down multi-grain Cheerios and clean up kitchen.

Change Olivia's diaper and clothes

Make Easton's bed and my bed.

Put Olivia in the high chair with cheerios and Elmo movie and I go shower.

Use new shampoo. It smells heavenly. :)

Get ready for the day.

Make my bed and Easton's bed.

Check facebook. (a mom's guilty pleasure)

Check CNN.com

Start load of laundry(the first of at least five that needs to be done)

Notice floor of laundry room is starting to resemble the lint trap so vacuum and mop it right then and there.

Decide I better not stop and mop the kitchen and bathrooms as well. Cleaned the toilets while I was at it. Pat myself on the back for the roll I'm on.

Stop and notice that Adam Sandler is singing on Sesame Street. Weird?

Eat a piece of string-cheese.

Change laundry.

Change Olivia.

Notice its snowing outside-BOOOO!

Check my email, put a bunch of things in my "shopping cart" on my favorite website, but stop short of "continue to check-out." (Ever do that? I left it sitting there. Maybe I will buy, maybe I won't.)

Change laundry.

Force myself to do Jillian Michael's workout. (bleh...) Olivia watches me and laughs from the jumperoo.

Eat black jellybeans. (Yes, I love them. Yes, I'm the only person in America who does).

Vacuum downstairs family room.

Decide that we are buying an Oreck vacuum with some of the tax return. :)

Call and tell Paul that I refuse to move to California and live in an avocado green house with a gravel roof. (No, we weren't ever planning on it. I just wanted to be clear.)

Look outside and realize that I'm probably going to have to shovel the snow off my driveway. Re-think my stance on California. ;)

Easton comes home from school-loud,excited, obsessed with his "skull" and doing the pee-pee dance. (They are learning all about their bodies this week.)

Get lunch ready for all of us. Macaroni beef baby food for Olivia. Turkey sandwich with all the fixings for me and him. :)

Clean up lunch.

Help Easton practice writing his letters, name, numbers etc...

Help Easton set up the shooting game(Cabela's big game hunter) on the Wii .

Give Olivia a bottle and rock her to sleep. Enjoy her sleeping while I watch Paula Deen on Food Network.

Call visiting teacher.

Pay two bills.

Fold laundry.

Get snack ready for Allie.

Allie comes home from school-loud,excited and DEMANDING a snack. haha..

Listen to the tales of a second-grader. (Very amusing I might add).

Send her to practice her piano songs before her lesson starts.

Olivia wakes up-change her. Smother her bald head with kisses for awhile. Love that head.

Tell Easton to press pause and "GO TO THE BATHROOM!" (Serious pee-pee dance going)

Get everyone in the car and on our way to Piano lessons.

Drop Allie off, start a movie in the car for Easton, hand Olivia her toy. Pray for quiet for 30 minutes.

While waiting for Allie to come out, I read over my young women's lesson. Read the paper.
After 15 minutes reading-I piggyback on the teacher's internet network and check facebook from my ipod. :)

Bored.

Call Paul....he says he is busy working. I tell him that if he is in Florida any longer that we might end up paying Florida taxes. He says he has to go now, will call me later.

Out comes Allie-loud, excited and talking a mile a minute.

Back home we go.

I eat an apple. Pay the kids in jellybeans to clean up the toy room.

Start dinner in the crock-pot. Gotta love the crock-pot. Especially on Wednesdays.

Yell for Allie to get ready for TaVaci. Change Olivia.

Back in the car we go.

Drop her off at "Glee Club" hahaha...

Go get a fizzy beverage for me. gulp, gulp. The world looks brighter. ;)

Go to Smith's. Buy apples, lettuce, Eggo's, wet wipes and Parmesan cheese. Weird?

Pick up Allie-loud, excited and singing.

Back home we go.

Turn on my music in the kitchen. The kids run downstairs and I fix dinner with an 11-month old glued to my hip.

Dinner's ready!

Who will say the blessing on the food? Me! No! Me! Okay....you. GO! Amen.

Clean up dinner.

Allie gets out her homework. Arithmetic, reading and learning to spell: imagination and conservation. Finish homework and pack up the back-pack. (It's a messenger bag mom!)

Pick up family room: shoes, bags, toys...

Hang out in the family room and watch Olympics with the kids.

Call Paul.

Everyone in pajamas. Teeth brushed. Prayers said. Foreheads kissed. Lights out, nightlights on. GOODNIGHT!! :)

Bath Olivia. Pajamas on. Rice cereal. Play on the floor. Warm bottle and rocking chair.

Into the crib. Nightlight on. Music playing.

GOOD NIGHT!

Clean up the bathroom.

Get a glass of water.

Sink into couch and watch American Idol from DVR.

Check computer.

Take my vitamins.

Wash face/brush teeth.

11 p.m.-Say a prayer of gratitude because THIS kind of day is exactly what I grew up wanting my days to be like. I don't get paid. I'm not all that important. I'm not solving world problems......but I'm MOM and that means something to me. I'm shaping three little lives.....one turkey sandwich and diet coke at a time. ;) I wouldn't trade anyone else's day for all the money in the world. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Since you've been gone.....

Dear DaDa,

I have learned lots and lots while you have been away. You will barely recognize me! For example....
Since you've been gone, I've learned to sleep all night without waking mommy up once in the night. One night I cried and cried for hours for her to come and get me. She never came, the big meanie!! She said something about the fact that I'm almost 11 months old and its time that I sleep all night-blah, blah, blah. You would have NEVER allowed me to cry all night. It broke my heart and mom didn't even care! Pfff.......... But since she won't come and get me, I've decided to sleep until its light in my room. Mommy seems happier for some reason?? whatever!....... ;)

Since you've been gone......I have fallen in love! Yes, its true. He is wonderful! He is smart! He is red and loud! His name is Elmo. I spend lots of time with him and watching his movies-especially when mommy is doing homework with Allie? :)

(sidenote: I can't help that my mom sounds like an idiot. Try and tune out the baby-talk, which isn't easy. She is VERY loud, but you already knew that.)

I wave "Hi!" and "Bye!" all the time now........at least thats how it looks when you guys wave at me! haha!

I have also learned that I like to lick the fridge and the oven. It takes all kinds Dad....

Lastly, just so you know that I still remember what you look like.....

Love you,

Olivia.

Easton, Mountain. Mountain, Easton.

Here is video of Easton learning to ski! It was so fun to take him up there with my mom and teach him. I'll tell you what though, I've never been so sore in all my life as I am right now(those instructors should get paid an exorbitant amount of money) but by the end of the night we were riding the chair lift and cruising down the mountain together. We are headed back up next week so he can keep it up. Allie is up next......but she gets a lesson with an instructor. I grew up skiing on Friday nights with my mom, dad and brother and sister, so naturally that is what I want for my own family and right now I am one kid closer to it! So excited! :)

So I hate hearing my own voice and I'm REALLY loud on these(turn your volume down).....I was trying to cheer him on. Lots of "pizza" and "A" talk going on. hahaha! He got even better than in these videos, but by that time it was too dark to video. Next time!

Because I need my SPACE

To see what has me so fired up these days go here and watch this:
SAVE CONSTELLATION

Its now up to those in congress to stop Obama. Some are fighting awfully hard and to them I am thankful. This is Rob Bishop and if you want to educate yourself on just how important this program is to our country then go here.....
Rob Bishop fights to keep constellation program

I haven't been this fired up in a long time. If this issue is important to you, then write your congressmen and let them know how you feel. It effects everyone. I hope they stop Obama, because I have someone close to me that thinks it would be pretty neat to "fly to the moon"........... not to the space station and back. :)

He's cool like that.

You know what I love? I love when Paul calls me from work and says, "Hey, wanna go out to eat tonight?" To which I always reply...."Um, Yeah!!"

The funny thing? Its like he can telepathically sense that I have been standing in front of the fridge and pantry for the past hour wondering what in the world I could create. Its like.....he knows. He knows that what was coming was "Frito Pie." If you don't know what that is than consider yourself lucky. It involves chili, tomatoes and a handful of Frito's. Pretty good while pretty BAD for you.

Frito Pie will be had (and enjoyed) tomorrow night. As for tonight I shirk the cooking duty for Mexican cuisine. A celebration of sorts. :)

Holidays.....in reverse.

For some reason all these pictures loaded in reverse. So you get to see our Holiday...starting with New Years and going backwards to mid-Dec. Its like our 2009 Holiday in hind-sight!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! We let the kids bang pots and pans up at the cabin. It was loud and hilarious. Look at my Dad....always one of the kids! haha..
Playing games with Papa.

Paul and Easton on one of the snowmobiles pulling the sleds around.

The girls going for a "spin"

Does it get any cuter than this? Lily! She is too cute for words and she acts like she is 22. Love her. Look at how tiny she is and guess what she got from Santa? Her own ski's and season pass. I'm. not. joking.
Dax....He is hilarious!! He was always covered in snow. Two minutes outside and he was COVERED!

Allie and Libbie...
Paul,Allie and Easton

Me, Allie & Easton

Allie blending right into the snow!

Before I had kids I swore that I wouldn't let them wear clothes that had cartoon characters on them.......well, I gave in(a long time ago! Allie wore every peice of princess merchandise around) Easton loves this Transformer hat more than life itself and how can I not love it too? I mean look at that face? He can wear whatever he wants. :)

Olivia,Landi and Allie just hanging out at the cabin. Its the best part of going up there! One day not one of us got out of our pajamas. It was wonderful. :)

Paul harassing his little brother Vic.....this was Christmas day at Grandma White's house.

Santa brought Olivia the Elmo Live doll. She didn't know what to think of him and then when he started talking and singing at her, she promptly punched him to the ground. He's layed there ever since....
Allie got a karaoke machine. She uses it ALOT. Its very, very LOUD, but I must admit that I have had some fun with it too. The other night while Paul was watching football, I picked up the mic and started singing the theme from Bodyguard to him. It didn't move him in anyway-I'll tell you that. ;)
Again, this is in reverse order. This is me about to get body slammed with a hug from Easton. He was so excited to get.....
His machine Nerf Gun. It shoots out 50 darts in 2 seconds. Not fun when your the target.
Look at his face. He knew exactly what it was. Score for Mom for the best present. Or at least I thought it was the best present until he got..... HIS OWN GOLF CLUBS! Dang Paul went and out did me. The Nerf Gun was quickly forgotten. He has been asking for his own golf clubs for a long time now and he was SO excited. He can't wait to go out golfing with Dad. He is pretty dang good at hitting the ball-which is more than I can ever do.
"MY OWN GOLF CLUBS!!"

He wondered for weeks what the BIG present under the tree was. For awhile he was hoping it was a gun. Can you imagine? The way he shoots his Nerf Gun means he won't be getting a gun anytime soon. I'm afraid he would shoot MY eye out!

Allie is our book-worm. LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to read. She begged and pleaded to get.....

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Have you heard of these? Or read them? They are funny and she had three of the four read in one week. Serious book worm here. Santa brought the Wii and we have since discovered that Allie is a true "gamer" She has almost mastered MarioKart while I on the other hand am still trying to figure out where the "b" button is. I am however gonna buy Jillian Michaels Wii workout....that can be MY game.
THIS was the present that I was the absolute most excited about giving. About two years ago, I was sitting on my parents patio with my camera. The sun was setting and I snapped a picture of my Dad's horses. When I showed the picture to Paul, he said, "You HAVE to give that to your Dad for Christmas!" So we did. I had my mom pick out the matting and frame and it turned out gorgeous! It looks so good in their home and my Dad loved it. It made my Christmas. :)

My Dad looking at the picture and realizing that it is of his horses and property. He got a little teary eyed....which again, made my Christmas.

Just so you can see what the picture looked like.....

"I won't wear a bow and you really think I'm gonna wear these?" She promptly pulled them off and chewed off a bell which sent me into hysterics and sweeping out her mouth. Cute picture though...
I always have a sugar cookie day with my kids. My blown-out belly button tried to interfere....but we persevered and cookies we made!! My mother-in-law gave us these matching aprons to wear. (3 days post surgery. Not bad-eh?)

Olivia ate wet-wipes while we frosted cookies....notice the bare feet. NEVER, EVER keeps her socks on. I look like a bad mom when I take her to Wal-Mart and her piggies are hanging out. I've given up the fight though. She wins. I lose. See how its gonna be for her?

Because Buzz Lightyear pajamas and a gingerbread apron are oh so HOT! Paul was like, "Can you get my son out of that apron?" To which I replied...." If you get him out of those pajamas." (I was still milking the whole, "I just had surgery. I can't" thing. )

Lets talk about that surgery. OW! OW! OW! For two days I thought my insides were on fire and then on day three?? .....it was like it hadn't happened. Strange! I was completely fine and carried on with the Holiday hustle and bustle like nothing had happened. The worst part? I couldn't lift anything for a solid week-including my baby. Paul took off work and had to completely become Mom. The plus of that? Him and Olivia bonded like glue. The negative? Him and Olivia bonded like glue! My baby had no use for me. She only wanted dad. In a matter of days I was completely replaced and she became Daddy's girl. She would occasionally throw me a bone and nap with me, but only because her dad was doing laundry.

Here is the proof that girls need their mom! Paul got them all dressed. Look at how many different patterns are going on here with my girls. I didn't care.....my belly-button had just been seared and I think we were on our way to Willard Bay lights. Paul was able to put a pony-tail in Allie's hair. More than I thought he could do......(he grew up in a house of all boys. Pretty impressive if you ask me).

Olivia is nine months old! AND??? She loves baby dolls! AAAHH! Allie would never play with babies. She loved barbies and that was it. So maybe, just maybe, I will be able to buy the "baby" stuff. She is into everything! We have entered that stage where you can't take your eyes off of her for even a moment. This morning she crawled over by the front door and ate a dead bug. I had seen it there earlier and thought, "I need to mop that up." but then was bombarded by breakfast and doing hair and packing lunches....and SO, she ate that little(teeny-tiny) bug. I saw it in her mouth and tried to get it out but she swallowed it and proudly smiled at me. I can't think about it anymore. She is bald. As bald as Allie was. I rub her head trying to get the blood flowing up there.....but nothing is happening. We just make bald babies! The little wisps that are there are dark though. Well, darker than my other two were. So we are hoping for curly brown hair by 2020. ;)

Ugly

This blog background is ugly. (I don't like blue or "the blues") Not crazy about that picture as the header either, but I decided to leave it all alone because its perfect for dumb 'ol ugly January.
The End.
Christmas pictures to come.....I hope. I jumped on the bandwagon and got obsessed with my physical fitness for the new year. I'm sure by Feb. I will be back to blogging while eating Doritos. :)
